About

My name is Susanne Schuberth and I live in Fürth/Bavaria. I am a 58 years old married mother who writes primarily about her deeper experiences with God and Jesus Christ. Sometimes I write poems, then articles, or alternatively, though rarely, comments on other blogs, just as the Holy Spirit leads me.

“The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” (Jn 3:8 ESV)

This Scripture describes my manner of writing which I never plan beforehand. I try to do all things as God inspires me and then I forget about them until He reminds me of having written several entries. This also means that there are times of dry inspirationlessness where the deeper sources of the spirit, which are unknown to me, are explored and enlarged by God. Therefore, if you want to read my blogs more often, you can be sure that you cannot be sure that I will publish on a regular basis. 😉

(1) If you’re interested in my testimony, I wrote several blog posts on My Testimony, however, this one is the longest and the most fundamental. If you like, confer https://enteringthepromisedland.wordpress.com/2014/06/13/my-testimony/. And here is a longer part 2 I would add much later https://enteringthepromisedland.wordpress.com/2020/03/10/my-testimony-part-2/.

      [Thank you very much, Sándor!]

I have just begun following your blog, too. However, I need to admit that I will only be able to understand your English entries because my knowledge of the Hungarian language is rudimentary – at best. 😉

    • I am glad that you are interested in my blog, Sándor. I saw that you posted written articles from Michael Clark on your own blog. As you might realize while browsing his and my blog(s) – actually, Michael and I have two (including our poetry blogs) – we often write complementary blog articles. Just for info, my Hungarian brother. 😉

    • You’re welcome, Ray. By the way, I really love your pics, you’re a great photographer, and I do know what you were speaking of regarding “creative theft” on the net. If you’re interested, I wrote a rather short post on it, springing from my own experiences with bloggers who used part of my entries or comments for their own blog posts without reference. It is really a problem that there is no common copyright on the net.

      • Interesting approach. 🙂 A couple of musicians found out what it costs to “borrow” from another musician… about $7 million. I’m sort of on a mission right now concerning using other’s works with no permission and no pay. I’ve been doing this for a long, long time — which accounts for anything good that springs out of my work — and I’ve never seen anything like the outright theft that has been going on for this last few years. Thank you for the kind words. Ray

Yes, the times are getting worse and worse, or rather, the people who feel secure because of the anonymity on the internet.

Warm regards and wishing you all the best for your future 💰

      • Oh, thank you very much, the same to you… Hmm… 🙄 checking my blog now… I wrote about the beginning of the healing of depression by Jesus in “My Testimony” … here’s an excerpt:

[Note: That was a time when Jesus was healing my bipolar disorder. As soon as I felt depressive, He made me laugh. And when my mood was flying too high into the sky, Jesus thwarted me with the fear of God. Apart from that, He had already previously cast out my paranoid anxieties in the same way as described in the Bible where our Lord had cast out demons of all kinds. The latter experience was a bit disconcerting to me since those scary demons, in fact, tried to return into their house from which they had originally come (Mt 12:43-45) for many weeks. But the Lord protected me and finally it was over. And thus I felt more and more balanced over time.]

And I wrote about what I think to be some of the reasons that I got bipolar here https://enteringthepromisedland.wordpress.com/2014/08/25/the-burden-of-false-guilt/.

Another reason was losing our only son in 2009 that caused new depressive feelings to come back into my life. However, meanwhile God helped me to endure such painful periods and to no longer suppress my feelings and that helps a lot (although I am often still in tears…). BTW, God comforted me regarding the death of David in a supernatural way that was wonderful. If you like, read about it here under “My Story #2” https://enteringthepromisedland.wordpress.com/2014/07/18/true-fellowship-knows-no-death/.

I wish you a lot of happiness in the days ahead too, Sudhir! 🙂

      • Thank you very much for the compliment, Sudhir, and for the likes. 🙂

Well, that is interesting. I just thought about whether I was stronger than before and I believe it is only that my faith in God that has grown since I am still as weak as can be which I do not really like. 😛 But even the apostle Paul admitted,

“For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Cor 12:10 ESV)

So, from hence, weakness seems to make some sense. 😉

        Bless you, too!

      • Your strength is in your writing Susanne. Think of those people who gave up and you didn’t. Think of the people whom you can inspire from now on through your blog. You give a lot of people hope to fight it out.

      • Wow! I believe you were God-sent to write THIS on my blog today, Sudhir. Thank you very much for your edifying words on here.

Well, I understand people who give up and I do know that God does, too, since I have always prayed to share His heart toward all people a little. But it is so sad when someone whom we love decides to be more of a burden for others and leaves…

      • I fully agree with Sudhir, dear Susanne. You have been a wonderful encouragement to so many people who have read your testimony. As you know I have read it all the way through and find you and the way you have overcome so much adversity in your life to be be so inspiring and you have given me much hope in my own life, especially the way you love all the people who write on your blog. Yes, some people are not ready to be healed of their depression and wounds as of yet, but God will get them there as He continues to work in their lives. We have to let some go into His hands and pray for them.

God bless you and may He use others like Sudhir and I to encourage you always,

  11. Susanne, I think that you having back to back trials is a good indicator that Father loves you VERY much and is preparing you as a beacon of His light in this darkened world. Of coarse our enemy will do all he can to interrupt this process by getting us to choose the seductions of this world. Many already are being drawn to the light you walk in, dear heart, so don’t give up, but throw yourself on our Daddy and He will lift you up out of every pitfall that Satan devises.

“No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD and their vindication [is] from me, declares the LORD.” (Isa 54:17, ESV2011)

What a heritage we have in Christ the Son, dear heart. Let us continue to pray for and encourage one another even the more so as we see that last day approaching.

    • Thank you so much for your encouraging words, dear Michael. Suffering as a sign of being loved by God is something the natural mind does not get at all since we do not like to see our childrens suffer, do we? But without willingly taking up our crosses in order to die to our old self nature (ego), we will remain shallow humnan beings without any emotional depths.

Yes, my brother, praying for one another is crucial! ⭐

  14. Dear Susanne,
Today as I read my Austin-Sparks devotional, I came across this excerpt and saw how it truly fits you and your walk with our Lord and your blog…

“Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,” (Heb 6:1, ESV2011)

“All our progress for the future depends upon what we are doing with what we know NOW. So the Lord says to us, “I am with you if you are going on. And going on means putting into practice and effect all that I have said to you.” Our growing knowledge of the Lord depends entirely upon our daily obedience to the light which we have….

“So when the Lord speaks, and we bring that which He has said, and we say: “There is something to be done about this. I do not just put that into the store of my knowledge. I do not just add that to all that I know. I look to see what that requires of me in a practical way. And when I see what that means, then I get to the Lord to have that made real and living in my life.” Brethren, the people who do that will be going on. They will be [ENTERING THE PROMISED LAND – emphasis added]. They will be entering into His Rest. They will be entering into the joy of the Lord. Because that is what the Lord wants – people who take hold of everything that the Lord says, and make it practical. So the writer of the Hebrews says, “Let us go on.” In what other way can we go on? We are not on a literal journey on this earth. Our Promised Land is not somewhere on this earth, in this world. No. Christ is our Promised Land. Christ is God’s fullness of purpose for us. So, we have got to take everything that has been said to us about Christ, and put it into practical effect. That is what it means to go on. And that is what it means to have the Lord fully with us!”

You have been such an encouragement to me and many other to GO ON into maturity IN the Father and the Son. I will be forever grateful for who you are IN them. ⭐

    • Dear Michael,

That was so sweet by you, thank you very much, my brother! 🙂

Actually, I read this devotional by Sparks before going to bed and I was truly wondering whether I have been going on… or not. Sometimes it feels as if I was still right at the beginning of my walk with God. But maybe, it is a good thing to feel like a little child before HIM?

I am glad you have been encouraged, dear Michael, and I cannot tell you how grateful I am to our Daddy in heaven that he lets you and me share a common walk by this spiritual fellowship He has provided for us. Thank you for being who you are! ⭐

      Your sister IN Christ,
      Susanne 🐱

      • We know that we must become as a child to enter His kingdom, but we do grow up eventually into becoming His full sons and daughters as well. But, the more we grow up into His image, the more we see just how great our Father really is and want to be IN Him all that much more! It is a never ending quest for those who love Him. In that sense we will always be His children by comparison with plenty of room to grow and draw closer to Him with new experiences constantly to go through in His grace and love. Of exploring the depths of His love alone, there will be no end. Yes, we will receive our crowns there, but they are for casting down before Him when the angels cry out, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord!” Who can compare to His holiness and majesty?
