Before sharing another, this time ‘older’ and longer vision with you on here, a few words on how visions and dreams from God differ from our soulish imagination. If you had any dream or a vision from God, you will never, ever be able to forget it! These dreams and visions remain in the background of your mind and they do not disappear. There is a light and a life to them which is eternal as they have come from Him. Over the years I made observations as for God dealing with us human beings in a similar way, whether we know Him or not. That means, all human beings who do not know Him yet receive warnings from God as to their eternal destiny if they do not repent. I recall that a worldly woman once shared a terrifying dream with me less than three decades ago. I felt it might have been from God and suggested to seek Him regarding this. As a confirmation regarding the assertions I made, here are the Scriptures God pointed me to at that time. It is an excerpt of Elihu’s rebuke of Job.
“For God speaks in one way, and in two, though man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, while they slumber on their beds, then he opens the ears of men and terrifies them with warnings, that he may turn man aside from his deed and conceal pride from a man; he keeps back his soul from the pit, his life from perishing by the sword.” […] “Behold, God does all these things, twice, three times, with a man, to bring back his soul from the pit, that he may be lighted with the light of life.” (Job 33:14-18; 29-30 ESV)
So much for theory in advance. Here comes the experiential part. Just two days ago as I was looking up a certain Bible verse in Psalm 55, I finally found what I was looking for. However, while pondering on the implications of that particular Scripture, my attention got caught by the verse before. It reads,
“His speech was smooth as butter, yet war was in his heart; his words were softer than oil, yet they were drawn swords.” (Ps 55:21 ESV)
I tried to stop thinking about this verse, but this Scripture came back to my mind again and again, like a boomerang. What was I to do with this verse? It seemed clear to me that we should both avoid flattering others ourselves, just as we should not trust anyone who turns out to be a sycophant. What just came to my mind was the image of the angel of light, Lucifer, the false light bearer.

After writing the last paragraph I went to bed shortly after midnight as I was too tired to keep writing. Sitting in the living room, I was typing on the phone which has been, at least on WordPress lately, more difficult than on the computer. This Saturday morning I awoke way too early, though. In my sleepiness I stayed in bed, resting in our Father’s and Jesus’ joyful and loving presence. Suddenly God reminded me of a longer vision I had about seven or eight years ago. This whole vision came alive again as if I had just seen it for the first time.
In this vision I found myself with God, our Father, who was sitting on my left side, on an uncomfortable metallic railroad bridge which was located high over the earth. The sky was blue and the sun was shining. It was a really pretty day, as one might say. In this lofty height I would have felt great fear if I had been all alone. But being that close to the Eternal God, every place in heaven and on earth turns into a secure shelter where you feel you have arrived at home, finally.
As we were both sitting there, He told me to look at what was beneath us unfolding before my eyes. Right at the outset I could not detect anything unusual. There was the scenic beauty of green hills, meadows and fields below. In the middle of these picturesques natural surroundings, there was a city which looked rather old. A medieval European town with many small and similar houses, as it seemed to me. As I somehow zoomed in on the rooftops, I saw a strange thing. All of these rooftops were connected with one another. Not one house stood there all by itself. And what was even more peculiar, there was a light coming up from this town down there through glass domes everywhere. These domes were arranged like a gridiron pattern. Still, that looked pretty neat, but somehow artificial, too. However, what seemed to be really weird to me was that this city was illuminated, even during the daytime!!

Out of the blue, I found myself under the rooftops without God’s visible presence any longer. I was standing in a huge building that looked like a mall. There were several floors to be explored, glass elevators going up and down and a number of stairways as well. However, first and foremost, there were many, many people buzzing around. They were coming from the left and from the right side, they were walking busily toward their different goals. But where did they go to? I tried to follow a few people who were going to the right. But after a few meters I realized that they were entering a dark room where a movie had just started. I was not interested and so I decided to ask someone where the exit was since I did not want to go shopping or else, either.
But alas, all of these people had turned their backs on me, hastily running to and fro in this colorfully illuminated building. As I had asked God about what I was doing there, I approached a hand railing that was right before me. From there I could look down into the basement which was about two or three levels beneath. In the basement there were not so many people, but a wall with a small door that opened up time and again. There was a big sign above the door that read “AIRPORT”. I watched these travelers coming in whenever this particular door in the basement opened. With their suitcases and other baggage they entered “the mall”. However, no one ever went into the opposite direction! That made me truly wonder, ‘Where on earth was the exit to this airport??’

Eventually, as I could not find any exit anywhere, I met a woman who told me where I could find a bathroom, at least. It seemed to me I had already stayed many hours in this unnatural building without breathing fresh air. I hoped that some water might have been a refreshing experience then. She told me that the bathroom was located in the basement, too. After going downstairs, I saw that there were less and less people as it got darker there as well. Even in the basement where all these people had come in from the airport, there was no exit at all. Finally I found an ugly room that looked like a bathroom. There were no people anymore as I found myself all alone. The illumination inside was far from bright and all the walls were covered with pale bathroom tiles. But even here, there was a light dome on the ceiling and, eventually, there was a sink with a mirror above. As I was washing my hands I looked into the mirror and, oh my God, I was really shocked!! What a frightening experience!! In fact, what I saw was not my face at all!! The longer I looked into this mirror, the more my face had been transformed into ‘something’ I could not relate to anymore. Alas, I could not recognize the former Susanne I had been. My heart was trembling with fear as I heard God say,
“This is the light from below.”
End of vision. The longer someone stays in this false light the devil offers, the more they will become estranged from what God meant them originally to be. The way by which we as Christians are drawn into Lucifer’s false light is almost always by flattery of sorts. Whether smooth talking Christian leaders or false “Christian” pleasures offered by today’s Laodicean church are concerned, this false kingdom of Satan exists. I recall when I shared this vision a few years ago with Michael Clark, he immediately shared the following Scripture with me.
“This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. (Js 3:15 KJV)

Susanne, as I read your article about your vision and you spoke about the houses built so that the roofs touched, it seemed that God’s light could never reach down to those living in them. The light coming from the domes in the roofs was artificial at best. As I reached the end of it this verse came to me,
“I therefore urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercies, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices that are holy and pleasing to God, for this is the reasonable way for you to worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but continually be transformed by the renewing of your minds so that you may be able to determine what God’s will is—what is proper, pleasing, and perfect.” (Rom 12:1-2, ISV)
Those who spend all their lives trapped in this world’s sensuality (the mall from which you couldn’t escape) they become contorted and twisted even in their outward appearance. I have seen this many times. The outward becomes conformed to the inward. Thank God that we are being renewed day by day in our inner man by being given that transforming new mind, the mind of Christ. He also gave me this verse,
“Woe to those who join house to house, who add field to field, until there is no more room, and you are made to dwell alone in the midst of the land. The LORD of hosts has sworn in my hearing: ‘Surely many houses shall be desolate, large and beautiful houses, without inhabitant.'” (Isa 5:8-9, ESV2011)
Love who He is IN you,

Yes, Michael, we truly need the mind of Christ so that we are not in danger to be trapped again by this world’s distractions, its sorrows, its hustle and bustle, AND by our own understanding of how and when things should happen.
The weird thing about those rooftops and these many glass domes was that although there was bright light outside of this city/mall (i.e. God’s Light), they rather relied on artificial light on the inside of this building. In other words, they did not know His light and the mind of Christ. They had rather built on the light of their own minds (intellects) that were fed by Satan and thus deceived. If they had opened the roofs or the glass domes, His light could have easily come in! But it seemed they either did not know or they did not want it. This false light from below is just another deception by the enemy.
Thank you, my brother. I hope He comes through…
Your sister in Him,

Susanne, you are so right! You wrote:

The deception is so great that unless our Jesus puts a hunger in our hearts to seek Him there will be no deliverance possible. As we often quote Him, “Apart from me you can do NOTHING!” and He also said,
“…no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.” (John 6:65, ESV2011)
Our Father is the progenitor of all life. This is why to be “born again” in the Greek text is literally to be fathered by Him just as the infant Jesus was.
And as for that source of artificial light that the world’s people walked by,
“And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. (2Cor 11:14, ESV2011)”
The natural man is so deceived because,
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jer 17:9, KJV)
I thank the Father and the Son that they pulled us up out of a miry pit and set our feet on the Rock, Jesus Christ. Except for the grace of God we would still be walking by our own light (provided by Satan) just as it happened to Eve and then Adam in the garden who chose that tree which gave them an artificial knowledge (and light) of both good and evil.

Indeed, the deception is so great that these people in this “mall”, who represent Christianity without Christ’s light and life, confuse their own “light” with having come from God. Also, they bring in all their worldly habits into Christendom without knowing what they are doing here (they “go shopping” in the Church and thus they make a business out of the gospel). They believe in God only as far as they can understand Him and His ways.
But that is not the faith God wants to see in us, the faith of Jesus Christ that believes God can do ALL things as nothing is impossible with Him. However, we need to follow His wisdom, i.e. Jesus Christ, if we want to experience His intervention in our lives as we read in Proverbs, chapter 3,
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
7 Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
8 It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.

Awww. I see now that verses 7 & 8 go along with 5 &6 that I had memorized years ago. Not becoming wise in our own eyes is key to walking in HIS light. Thank you for being an instrument that conveys His light in our lives, Susanne. ❤

Hi Susanne,
Years ago the Lord gave me a vision and I never forgot it!! I agree that the message is eternal and for me the vision is still unfolding. Thanks for sharing.
In Christ,
Wanda

So true, Wanda, if it has been a vision as to your personal future according to God’s plan for you, it will be unfolding more and more over time. It is even so that you see more and more depth of what once might have seemed to be ‘simple’ at first.
